What Will You Do?

Prepare finished product for packaging and shipment which includes the building of crates, inspection, weighing, labeling and documenting.

What does it take to be a part of our team?

• Construct crates and/or boxes to properly and securely hold products for shipment.
• Weigh and label packages as required.
• Inspect packages to ensure they meet shipping regulations.
• Monitor and inspect finished good products throughout the packaging/crating process.
• Read and compare packaging & paint requirements to print and or specifications.
• Visually inspect parts during packaging/crating and perform any necessary actions to correct imperfections.
• Perform testing and complete documentation as required by the customers.
• Monitor and communicate inventory concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year of proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic crane and forklift experience including forklift certification (or the ability to be trained and certified)
• Basic product knowledge and blueprint reading skills.
• Capable of understanding and following routing information.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management.
• Troubleshooting capabilities.
• Basic record keeping abilities.
• Ability to effectively train new employees.
• Proven ability to inspect work and meet quality expectations.
• Ability to identify and share process improvement ideas.
• Ability to operate saws and hand tools.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
