Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer
A successful Manufacturing Engineer will oversee all areas of manufacturing operations while ensuring increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

What Will You Do?
A successful Manufacturing Engineer will oversee all areas of manufacturing operations while ensuring increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
What does it take to be a part of our team?
- Overall responsibility for strategic Lean Initiatives within the Portland facility.
- Support strategic Quality Initiatives.
- Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
- Confer with Supply Chain Manager and Quality Supervisor on quality issues related to purchased and machined components.
- Design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
- Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures.
- Continually analyze manufacturing process flows for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
- Collaborate with design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods.
- Estimate staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions.
- Provide engineering support in the production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Support company policies and procedures, goals and objectives and good manufacturing practices.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college.
- Minimum 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Lean Manufacturing Experience.
- Experience with thread rolling processes is a plus.
- ERP systems experience, Epicor experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years as a supervisor/manager in a manufacturing environment
- Machine shop experience running and setting up CNC mills and lathes
- CNC Programming knowledge and experience, Master Cam and G-code preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods standing.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
